今日は，令和２年度の卒業式がありました。今年度の卒業生は，６年生１名でした。式は今年度も新型コロナウイルス対策のため時間短縮や出席者を制限した形で行いました。
今年度の卒業生Ｙさんは，本校で５年間の小学校生活を送りました。今年度は，小学部最高学年としてみんなをまとめてくれました。また，金管のリーダとして特に今年度本校に来た児童生徒に対して優しく丁寧に教えてくれました。運動会では紅組として，団長のＨくんと一緒にチームをまとめあげてくれました。授業面では，何事にも全力で挑戦する姿が見られました。特に跳び箱となわとびは印象的でした。閉脚跳びや３重跳びと難しい技に果敢に挑戦し，練習を重ね成功させることができました。なわとび大会では見事に１０分間を跳びきることができました。
４月から中学校という新しいステージに立つＹさんへ。持ち前の明るさと挑戦する心を忘れずに，大いに活躍してくれることを祈っています。たくさんの元気と勇気をありがとう。卒業おめでとう。
Today we had our graduation ceremony. We had one student graduating from elementary school. Due to Covid-19 spread prevention measures, just like last year, we had a shorter, more limited ceremony. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful, and emotional ceremony.
Our graduating student has lived on Kuchinoshima, and attended our island's elementary school for five years. They have set a great example for the elementary school students, and also lead the brass band to great performances this year. As part of the red team for this year's Sports Day, they helped the team leader bring the team together. In class, and during school events, they were always trying their best, especially during this year's jump rope competition. Not only did they showcase difficult jump rope tricks, they also jumped for the full ten minutes in the stamina event.
We would like to send a message to the grad, who is about to commence a new chapter in their life: We wish you the best of luck in middle school, and beyond. Please continue being as kind, as cheerful, ready for any challenge as you have been in elementary school. Thank you for everything. Congratulations on graduating from elementary school.
